So i am joining the contest last minute i redid the marker bust thing. I did it digitally and did soft shading no black outlines except for the eye. I kind of like how the after image turned out. In the after image she looks more mature which i really like. So anyways. Enjoy ^^
old drawing -----> new drawing --->
I would love some comments on how i did on this. Tell me. How much did i improve in the two years between drawings? What more can i improve on? Don't sugar coat it.
Wow, you've really improved! The anatomy of the newer piece is much better than that of the older, and the shading is a lot better. I really love the hair, and the eyes on both pieces are nice. I think that there's still room for improvement, though. (This part is going to be about the newer piece.) Some of the facial anatomy looks a little weird, like the nose. I can't put my finger on why, but it just doesn't look quite right. The left shoulder (viewer's right) looks a little strange, too. I think that it might be the way that it's raised and the size in comparison to the other shoulder.
Overall, great improvement, and good luck in the contest! Keep up the awesome work.
it looks much more clean and elegant. but i think you can use some contrast touch as old one (maybe a dark area on nose etc) also using texture is good but if you add some shadows after that it will looks much more 3d (texture will be looks more belong to picture too)
i like the highlight on old one (at the cheek) you can carry this knowledge to new one. its looks very good
